For new contact lens wearers, knowing whether your lenses are inside-out can be tricky. For the most part the lens will look the same whether it's flipped or not. Fortunately, there are a few minor things to take note of that will help you know whether they are inside out. The easiest thing to do is put the contact lens on your finger. If it forms an even, perfect "U" shape, it's the proper way. If the outside edges flare out to the sides, it's inside out and you will need to flip it. When flipping it, make sure the lens and your fingers are plenty moist with solution, so you can avoid ripping it. If that method fails and you put the lens in your eye, you will immediately know whether or not it's inside out. By following these simple tips you will be able to know whether your contact lenses are in properly.
